Helmet Heat: Fewer Ice Dams and Icicles This Winter

Helmet Heat is a self-regulating heat cable hidden under your Gutter Helmet covers. It reduces ice dams and icicles along your roof’s edge and helps keep melting snow flowing through your gutters and downspouts. Helmet Heat can be added to a new or existing Gutter Helmet system. Installs are scheduled weather permitting, and a sales rep will price it at your home during your free estimate.

What is Helmet Heat?

Helmet Heat is a self-regulating heat cable hidden under your Gutter Helmet covers. It reduces ice dams and icicles along the edge of your roof.

Helmet Heat is made to work with Gutter Helmet. It’s professionally installed by our team, and because it sits under your Gutter Helmet covers, it stays out of sight.

How does Helmet Heat help with ice dams?

Helmet Heat helps melting snow keep flowing through your gutters and downspouts instead of refreezing at the roof edge, which reduces ice dams and icicles.

Here’s the problem it’s aimed at. After a snowfall, snow on your roof starts to melt, and the water runs down toward the edge. If that water refreezes at the roof edge or in the gutters, it can build up into a ridge of ice, which is an ice dam, and hang off the gutters as icicles. Helmet Heat works at that edge, under your Gutter Helmet covers, to help the meltwater keep moving through your gutters and downspouts.

Can I add Helmet Heat to my existing Gutter Helmet?

Yes. Helmet Heat can be added to a new or an existing Gutter Helmet system.

If you already have Gutter Helmet, Helmet Heat can be added to it. If you don’t have Gutter Helmet yet, Helmet Heat can go in with a new Gutter Helmet system. Either way, a sales rep will look at your home and price it during your free estimate.

Will I be able to see the Helmet Heat cable?

No. The cable is hidden under your Gutter Helmet covers.
